Head to Dhërmi, a secluded corner of coastline along the Albanian Riviera this June and you’ll find KALA festival, a curation of dance music culture set against a backdrop of beaches, crystal clear water and blue skies. With a near-endless flow of saucy tunes from the curation of underground selectors to industry legends set to play KALA’s open-air stages, sound systems strong enough to create their own waves and wellness sessions taking place across the week, consider this festival a rave and retreat wrapped into one.

Who hasn’t heard of Hideout? Celebrating 15 years as one of Europe’s most talked-about electronic music festivals, their 2025 edition does exactly what they do best, bring a diverse lineup of DJs and artists to Pag Island for five nights of gut-wrenchingly good garage, saucy house sets, and absolute bangers. In addition to their beachy open-air dancefloors, pool and boat parties, ravers looking to take a break from the sesh can tick off Hideout’s Zrce bucket list of quad bikes, bungee jumping, water sports and banana boats.

Ahhh, Hospitality on the Beach, a hub for drum and bass fiends where “baddadans” are never in short supply. Set along a private beach in a section of town blocked off to outsiders, only DnB heads reside here, the festival is a paradise for dancers who dabble in deep liquid, rollers, jump up and all-round euphoric tunes, whether you wanna dance in Croatia’s cool blue waters or right in front of the decks, HOTB integrates all of the best bits of an international beach rave, deep, sexy rumbles of bass, a space where you can go as hard as you want and a relaxed atmosphere where artists and attendees rub shoulders. With a motto of “Spread Love” in line with the DnB community you’ll no doubt leave with some banging memories, new mates and a longing to make it back next year.

Did someone say 24/7 sesh? *side eye*… Celebrating its 10th birthday, Love International will return to The Garden in Tisno for another year of non-stop tunes. Announcing their 2025 stage splits, the event has once again confirmed 24-hour day-to-night programming across the full seven days *pauses to wipe drool from mouth*. Taking place across the festival’s 4 stages, you’ll find each offers its own unique atmosphere, at the Beach you can take in the breathtaking Baleric beauty of Croatia by the water with a sunrise session, The Garden offers an open-air experience right under the night sky, Olive Grove brings a greenhouse setting nestled amongst the trees and over at Terrazza you’ll find a cosy collection of ravers (probably with a cocktail in hand).

Moving onto what we’re nicknaming ‘Techno Heaven’ Awakenings with its intimate music-oriented approach, grounding 360 open-air dancefloors that dismantle the barriers between artist and attendees, focus on artists who have their finger firmly on otherworldly frequencies and groundbreaking production taking place across what they call their ‘holy ground’, all sets the stage for a weekend of exploring altered states of consciousness, alongside the 120+ artists performing across the three days.

“Ring ring” Mochakk’s calling with a new addition to add to your festival agenda for 2025! The iconic Brazillian artist and selector has announced the first edition of his own festival, stepping up his namesake event series ‘Mochakk Calling’ into a two-dayer hosted at Ta’ Qali, a breezy open-air venue in balmy Malta. One look at the lineup tells us he’s translated his impeccable taste for beats into booking a hybrid mix of electronic music masters with a flair for brain-tingling tunes and body-grooving drops that’ll no doubt have us all belling Mochakk, begging for an extra day. If you’re anything like us and always leave a rave wanting more, as the sun sets, the party will continue into the night with exclusive after-hours events in Attard at UNO club.

A festival celebrating electronic culture as a whole, at Neopop, the production matters as much as the music. While the event takes place in Portugal, the atmosphere, with its otherworldly sets, neon signs, lasers and light displays feels like you’re being transported to another planet, turning its home venue Forte Santiago da Barra into an immersive digital wonderland. The organisers consider dancing on their floors a ritual, a shared communion between humans and the digital world through music, sharing sounds from the past, present and future in new forms. An expansive space leaving ravers plenty of room to groove, judging by this year’s lineup, attendees can expect offerings of trance, techno and house, taking place across two stages.

A deep dive into dance music, at Dimensions expect to explore a spectrum of electronic tunes alongside like-minded ravers, spanning house, techno, electro, breaks and everything in between. With stages hosted by some of the world’s leading collectives, labels and artists, influences span from London to Ibiza, offering a taste of belters from across the globe. With every beach and boat sesh soundtracked by a lineup that, frankly, has us on our knees, in addition to their killer roster of artists for 2025 the festival also offers unique add-ons including a Secret Island Party hosted on a private (and explorable) island with a pool, restaurant and BBQ and some fire after-party sets at Barbarella’s Discotheque (it’s good to note you’ll need an additional ticket to access these as they don’t come included with the standard wristband).

The ultimate pick for track curators and playlist perfectionists, their extensive lineup ensures you’ll find yourself lost in the moment on at least one of their dancefloors and if you’re an open-minded music enthusiast with tastes for a mix of genres, you’ll no doubt walk away from the weekend with a new-found love for artists you’ve never heard of before (plus a stack of Shazam searches). With sets spanning from OG industry legends that shaped scenes to underground picks pioneering new sounds, we suggest getting stuck into every second of their 1-11PM run time and, if you can snag tickets, attend their nighttime programme of events too.

Perhaps the pinnacle of European party culture, we should all take a leaf out of Barcelona’s book because my god do the Spanish know how to sesh. Brunch Electronik is aptly named, booking the best acts in dance music every year for a delicious tasting menu of tunes, the festival combines the best of beach and city raving, at every stage, you’ll find pure pulsating energy from the sound systems, crowd and artists alike, in addition to a raw buzz of euphoria that’s present right across the venue. With feet stomping beats, unfiltered dance moves, hair flying, tops off, letting loose and exhilaration, the liveliness of this event doesn’t falter from start to finish and it seriously outdoes us Brits in the rave department.

Last but not least, here’s one for our high-energy ravers to round off the summer, Sonus. Taking place towards the end of August, if like us you’re determined to keep the dance going and desperately need one more sweaty weekend of dancefloors, dirty drops and godly tunes before hanging up your sunnies for the summer, this festival has everything you need to use up all that leftover energy, with sounds pulsing from sunrise to sunset and adrenaline-fueled side quests including quad biking, kayaking, water sports and bungee jumping.
