GALA’s bringing it back to Peckham Rye this year, and it’s a big one. In celebration of their 10th birthday, this is the lineup on everyone’s lips, to get summer kicked off in South. Well seasoned GALA goers will know, these guys know just how to put on a show. With a balanced lineup of DJ’s, hypnotic live performances & expertly designed stages – it is always a true party in the park.
GALA and their partners are never one to shy away from a curated trophy-case of artists. Including big names, festival-fan favs and must-catch up’n’comers whilst they’re on the rise. This year (especially) there’s no way you’ll want to miss it. Spanning 3 days of the May bank holiday weekend, I think you’ll find it tricky to find a reason not to be there.
With all eyes on Peckham’s number one event, we thought it time to give you Brokerz a guiding light of where to be, and who to catch this weekend…

FRIDAY
MUST SEE:
Floating Points
FP makes his debut at Gala this year, at Joy on Friday which is in partnership with he ever-iconic London based radio station, NTS. But not only this, you’ll also find a whole stage packed out with Floating Points’ nearest and dearest. His baby, Sunflower Sound System sounds like the spot we fancy parking our arse at all weekend, though we promise to explore. If it’s handpicked positive vibes in the sunshine you fancy, get over there.
Sam Sheperd aka Floating Points, will himself be playing at the mainstage on Friday – closing out the festival’s first night at the Rye. Gala’s signature is bringing their audience soulful electronic sounds, mood-boosters that keep you wanting more. If you’ve seen FP before you know that’s what he’ll deliver, think serotonin soaked tempos with classical and ambient elements. The perfect Friday finale.
Moodymann and Theo Parrish & The Preachers’
Kings of Detroit, Moodymann and Theo Parrish will be pummmping some serious house at their respective sets on Friday. Bringing the club basement to their glorious outdoor location, we’ve not stopped thinking about this one. Both of them are pioneers of the genre, keeping the dancefloor and the decks under their spell since the 90’s.
Whether you know them for their genre-blending sets, pioneering the presence black culture within music or their ability to sample all kinds of bespoke or iconic sounds, or even if you’ve not shaken your booty to these boys before. Now is your chance.
You’ll catch Moodymann out at JOY before Floating Points’ closer, and Theo Parrish all bloomin’ day over at 1908: Woven Rhythms.
DON’T MISS:
Errol
Gala is one of London’s rare independent festivals, and they’re always proud to pedestal London’s leading voices in the scene. One of which, this year being Errol. As a curator, DJ, broadcaster AND co-founder of Touching Bass (the list goes on), he’s one to watch, and a tastemaker you’ll be pressed to miss. Not bound by genre, Errol’s sets are sure to bring a powerful blast of spice, sex and dopamine dosing to your Friday afternoon. We can rely on Errol to bring the best of the best to the centre stage with his curational and crowd-entrancing abilities.
Tash LC
Bringing her tastes of the South Diaspora to South London, we’ll see Tash LC at opening up the patio on Friday. Whether it’s soca, merengue or soukous influences, you’ll catch Tash weaving this through her hypnotic, percussive beats in a language that’s ruled by her unshakable taste and respect for the artistry of others.
Calibre feat. SP:MC
For those after a different BPM, head out to The Pleasure Dome. The title will not disappoint, namely with Calibre, feat. SP:MC as the climax of the Friday night. With high energy, sleek DnB and jungle, it’s gonna be a crowd-pleaser. Sure to make you scream. These two can’t seem to stay apart, and we hope they don’t. If their previous performances are anything to go by, you’ll want to try and squeeze these guys in to a packed out, all killer no filler, first day.

If you like it live, loud, and completely off-script, this one could for sure be a highlight of the day.
LUXE
LUXE’s productions span dreamstate ambient to peak-time techno, but behind the decks, she leans into euphoric, high-BPM blends—swooping from jungle and breaks into trippy prog house with effortless precision
