If you haven’t already laid eyes on the new collection, get ready to worship at the altar of fashion. DI PETSA just took us to church, and now we’re here to worship…
‘The Body as Prayer’ for AW24, it’s all about honouring the body like the divine temple it is. Channelling the energy of mythic goddesses, specifically Venus and tapping into her divine mix of beauty and sexuality, AW24 turns the everyday task of getting dressed into a sacred ritual, a way to show love to yourself and start fresh.
Sending a procession of earth-bound deities down the runway, the models, embodying ancient female archetypes from Greek mythology and Christianity, tuning into the Virgin Mary, The Madonna, The Angel, and the Temptress, strut their stuff to the tune of live music and poetry.
Focused on ethereal fabrics, floor-length wetlook dresses in white, adorned with crystals that shimmered like stars showcased alongside dreamy coats made from recycled cotton, chrome, mesh gloves and latex.
If you’ve ever seen a DI PETSA show, you’ll know it’s not just about the clothes, it’s about the performance. Picture two models, bare and vulnerable, meeting in the middle of the catwalk for an embrace. It’s like the birth of something new, the inner child coming out to play.
DI PETSA AW24 is all about falling in love with yourself and embracing every curve and crevice. Find more of our favourites from the collection below…
