“I Had A Fist Fight With An Emo Outside Of Subway” by Niko B

Niko B has released his absurdist new tune “I Had A Fist Fight With An Emo Outside Of Subway” today. A witty take on Tom’s history as a Subway employee and his appreciation of British subcultures. Landing after his starring role in the new Cortez Bolo campaign, he’s had an amazing start to the year.

This new offering is fun and frantic, providing additional insight into Niko B’s distinctively ridiculous and commonplace world, ushering in a new age of unique graphics and honest lyrics for the young rapper.

“IHAFFWAEOOS” was introduced with a two-day suspense-driven marketing campaign, with Niko B posting a video of himself being punched and attempting to discover the perpetrator on social media before disclosing it was a promo for the new single.

With this tongue-in-cheek critique of divide and social mores produced by Decz & Sesh Nolan, Niko B returns to what he does best: lo-fi and bedroom pop-inspired music. Niko wants his devoted fans to find solace in his admittedly out-of-the-box artistic vision.

“This song was made with Decz and Sesh Nolan, never met them before, both absolute legends and are both invited to my wedding. My head space at the time with music was not fun at all. I just felt so much pressure when making music so therefore the energy I put into songs wasn’t how I wanted. This session though I really tapped into the reason I make music and how I just wanna have loads of fun and not take life too seriously. I had the hook of me fighting an emo outside subway then based the verses off that and it’s one of my favourite songs I’ve made, just a tsunami of ideas came with the song about how to market it, the music vid etc. Going back to the old Niko.” – Niko B, 2022
