This season offers a comeback for Jack Irving’s comeback, a comprehensive fusion of past, present, and future. Irving’s designs, paired with On|Off creator Lee Lapthorne’s mixed reality aesthetic, up the ante as we rise from the ashes of a global crisis, with a fresh vision for the industry.
In an attempt to push creative limits, By highlighting the work of young designers and fashion visionary, Jack Irving, On|Off celebrates its twentieth year of supporting designers including J.W. Anderson, Roksanda, Gareth Pugh, Robert Wun, and Pam Hogg.
On|Off’s return to the London Fashion Week programme featured what can only be described as Irving’s wearable futuristic artwork, presented both digitally and physically at the intimate setting of Grosvenor House Hotel’s Ballroom. This collection acts as a mark of Irving’s most recent venture into the NTF-world, demonstrating creativity and imagination coexisting, following Ivring’s AW22 collection, it’s clear that a mixed reality now lies at the forefront of fashion.
Irving’s NFT dress collection was first shown in January with the debut music video release of virtual artist and influencer Maie. The film depicts Maie in her digital realm, sporting a Jack Irving original, sparked by Irving’s bespoke holographic garment produced for Paris Hilton. The film, made in partnership with Avatar and released as an NFT bridged the cap between the metaverse and reality with the Melbourne-based record label being at the forefront of the non-human artist’s movement. This garment was a singularity in Irving’s AW22 collection, showcasing a 15-piece collection this London Fashion Week.
