KSENIASCHNAIDER presents “OFFLINE MULTIPLAYER MODE 3.0”

Anton Schnaider, co-brainchild of KSENIASCHNAIDER identifies his latest fashion collection as an unseasonable drop, titled “OFFLINE MULTIPLAYER MODE 3.0”.

The Kyiv-based brand, managed by married couple Ksenia and Anton, was founded in 2011 and earned international acclaim in 2016 with the introduction of demi-denims. The style was conceived as a blend of culottes and slim jeans, and it was a worldwide success.

The continuing designless philosophy of KSENIASCHNAIDER traces through their third drop: pure function, ultimatistic, seasonless (which are keywords from the collection).

To grasp the sustainability in KSENIASCHNAIDER, this season designers worked with vintage clothes, which were reworked into new garments. Ksenia began by making the first pair of jeans out of second-hand denim, which prompted the designers to turn this into an ongoing effort. Upcycling has proven to be a valuable resource for KSENIASCHNAIDER. A third of the 1000-2500 pieces manufactured each season are repurposed, meaning, every year, they upcycle approx 5.3 tonnes of old denim jeans.

Anton asks through the “OFFLINE MULTIPLAYER MODE 3.0” collection: “Why should designers make any move unless they add a new vision to the culture?”

A “RELOAD”: the сomparison of clothing with fresh software. The brand believes technology must be updated, just like humans. Each person creates a character from himself, which is broadcast to the world. We live in the game and constantly upgrade our state, knowledge, appearance, environment. By representing human behaviour towards fashion, the highlight of the 3rd men’s drop is to create comfort but not a trend.
