If you go down in the Barkestone Wood this weekend, you’re sure of a big surprise … Noisily Festival travels to an alternate dimension, emerging from the undergrowth of a newly-discovered woodland in the Midlands countryside from the 6th to 9th July.
Honouring values to protect and respect our natural environment, Noisily ventures afield to their new base (by Grantham, Lincolnshire) to preserve the ecosystem of its previous stomping ground after 9 special years. This space births opportunity for growth, promising new features for a spectacular weekend in the woods celebrating 10 years of Noisily.
The Noisily fabric is stitched of music, arts, and mindfulness to create a holistic, healing environment – a blissful escape from the outside world but proudly proclaimed ‘proper f*cking party’.
The forest buzzes with electronic sounds in the form of techno, tribal house, psytrance, drum and bass, dub and everything in between – alongside a class selection of alternative live music and quirky acts for your entertainment.
This eclectic range spans 3 stages and boasts a lineup of enormous talents including Jungle Hero Goldie, Dutch Deck Master Joris Voorn and Techno Titans Oliver Koletzki and Gregor Tresher.
This year will feature an outstanding female roster that will showcase IMOGEN, Anabel Arroyo, Sandrien and Nur Jaber channelling the divine feminine through their magical mixes. Also on the lineup is hip-hop collective The Mouse Outfit, and Bristol vocalist/songwriter Eva Lazarus.
In the midst of the party, Noisily reminds us to engage with our individual Mind, Body and Soul, as well as connect to those around us through workshops, panel talks and wellness experiences. The Mind, Body and Soul programme has long esteemed Noisily as more than a typical music festival, offering a grounding space to unwind and reconnect amongst the noise.
Hosts for 2023 include Lumenate, a pioneering meditation programme practising consciousness-altering experiences using stroboscopic light.
Natural Symphony will come out at night to play the plants (through their biorhythms; electric signals) creating sounds and visuals for a uniquely meditative forest rave after dark.
The Noisily landscape is decorated with an array of art installations, curated and co-designed by Burning Man project lead Ruth Herbert. From communal ‘zen dens’ to hidden sculptures and interactive, psychedelic displays, this wonderous collection provides a visual treat for all 6500+ members of the Noisily Family. London-based female street artists of The WOM Collective will also design the festival’s main art wall.
Noisily’s 10-year celebrations promise a holistic, spiritual retreat from the land beyond the trees to
Dance. Create. Learn. Connect.
See you in the woods Brokerz!
