Join Broke Magazine as we look back at the immersive installation event ‘TABLEBAYY‘ which was in full swing on June 24th, and the organisation put on their most heightened party ever. Held in a South East London warehouse and offering a spectacular night of music, fashion, art, and culture.
TABLEBAY loaded its South East London warehouse with a slew of young-owned enterprises that day. Among them were the jewellery company Chaleur, the sportswear label LAPP, the famed Mont Boudoir brand by the supermodel Clermont twins, the hand-made swimsuit company The Reworked Club, and Tresor Jewellery.
TABLEBAY also featured thought-provoking lecturers as well as entertaining musical performances by SHASIMONE, Ms Banks, JOCE WAVY, and others. In addition to the entertainment, the food was excellent – rapper and musician Big Zuu teamed with DAVE TV and brought partygoers into his fully immersive personalised store, where there was free merch and tasty munch.
The TABLEBAYY event, which serves as a catalyst for the promotion of businesses and artists, includes beverages and performances while showcasing some of Europe’s most prestigious brands. This event fostered diversity by breaking down barriers and creating art activations that allowed each firm to express themselves in ways they couldn’t before. The BAYY team hand-selected these brands, and each event has a mix of well-known and developing brands – the next firms to watch. These individuals, in particular, are keen to contribute to the future growth and success of the British fashion, music, and art industries.
A stand-out feature of the event was for sure the alien endorsement – having human-sized inflatable green aliens running around, dancing and bringing happiness to the party. We also spotted some cuddly toy aliens wearing TABLEBAY tee’s and fell in love!
TABLEBAY was developed by fashion stylist Maria Jose Vaca and Elenia, the founder of 187MOB. These closest friends and entrepreneurial pair have created a highly successful business by combining their mutual passions in art and seeing their ideas come to reality. The couple has been renowned as key pioneers in the creative sectors, with a strong awareness of what their target audience wants and needs, owing to their use of a completely female workforce and production team.
Their ideology is still connecting the connections in the music, fashion, and arts industries.
The venue, known for its spectacular asymmetrical glass ceiling and excellent natural light, accommodated over 3000 people and featured exclusive performances by the UK’s top musicians and businesses, speeches by cultural influencers, and a black-owned food court, which is important to TABLEBAY’s business.
This was one of the year’s most important cultural events; keep up with future TABLEBAY events to avoid missing out!
