The 6-track EP is inspired by the rapper, producer and model’s rollercoaster 2 years.
Luchi Blue, a London rapper, producer, and model, has released his latest EP, ‘Trapped In My Mind,’ which includes the focus track ‘Love U Right,’ a duet with vocalist Zara Grace.
‘Trapped In My Mind,’ which has been on a two-year rollercoaster, is inspired by Luchi’s own experiences and personal growth. The 6-track EP include hits ‘C’est La Vie,’ ‘Line In The Sand,’ and new lo-fi disco offering ‘Love U Right,’ as Luchi captures all of his highs and lows, including family loss, illness, grief, and love. The tunes are completely self-penned and produced by Luchi, demonstrating his flexibility as an artist and creative.
Speaking on his new EP, Luchi said, “It’s been a real rollercoaster, I can’t lie. But in a few years, I’ll look back and see how essential this period has been for my development as a musician and as a person as I’ve learnt a lot from this stage in my life.”
The title tune, ‘Love U Right,’ features Luchi rapping on the high days after the discovery of love. Zara Grace’s lovely and ethereal voice graces the breezy charmer of a piece.
Luchi had the following to say about ‘Love U Right’, “This song is all about love and a perfect way to end the EP. Proving you can’t keep Luchi in a box, I’ve switched it up with the production as it’s a lofi disco tune, perfect for the summer.”
Luchi Blue, who is half Italian and half Austrian, was born and reared in South East London. Growing up as a die-hard Chelsea supporter, he was always captivated by the colour blue, which now serves as the inspiration for his artist name.
He has also been a successful model in the fashion world for over a decade and has a good eye for detail, ensuring fashion and style go hand in hand with his music. His daring style and distinct model looks mean he’s equally at home in high-end apparel as he is in streetwear. Luchi, who is signed to IMG Models, has walked for ‘Blood Brother’ at London Fashion Week, walked with Winne Harlow for British Designer John Richmond in Milan Fashion Week, and worked for MCM in Milan. Luchi’s musical career is quickly gaining traction, with a slew of releases after his 2020 debut ‘Blueprints’ EP.
With his current EP ‘Trapped In My Mind’ out now and a live recorded concert from Qube Studios in London scheduled for later in 2022, Luchi is showing himself as a creative force to be reckoned with this year and beyond.
