Mark’s signature neon themes travel across the decades to infiltrate the fervour of the 80s fitness scenes, taking inspiration from the sombre party people that inspired last season’s collection. Wishes for comfort within one’s own body blend with desires for corporeal physicality, creating a spectrum centred on the acceptance of oneself and embracement of everyone.
Steering preconceived connotations of 1980s aerobics courses and transforming them for usage in the carefree modern rave represents the freedom felt by the Mark Fast wearer in a world that has finally returned to its full force.
Cords and laces are tightened, propelling consumers wearing Mark’s collection towards the thrilling possibilities of the future. Audiences will recognise Mark’s ever-changing distinctive bodycon on the runway, as well as the newest shoe technology created by Mark.
The club’s identities may be found under the colourful graffiti prints, beneath the knitted hoods, and behind the Mark Fast monograms. Mark’s modified trainers-into-heels depict the daytime hard worker who transforms into the nocturnal bon-viveur, leaving daytime office employment and unleashing themselves into the night’s reveries.
In this collection, Mark leans on the enticing catastrophe of underground scenes and reflects the intensity of a hidden and passionate gathering. Flirty stone-washed denim skirts mixed with ruched elasticated-denim pieces showcase the distinct traits of Mark’s designs, while sportswear-chic items emphasise the wearer’s physique and power.
Mark Fast has had phenomenal development in recent years, more than tripling his number of outlets across Asia. That growth is accompanied by a rise in his ideas for daring and novel ways to dress. We are already thinking about next season.
