NYC’s Mindchatter unravels “Math”, the last single ahead of his album

Mindchatter, the Pete Tong-endorsed multi-instrumentalist who recently backed Polo & Pan on their North American tour, has released his last album single “Math,” and we couldn’t be more excited!

Mindchatter, a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer, has been on an unstoppable upward trajectory since the release of his debut track. His danceable indie-pop tracks have already accumulated millions of listens across platforms from fans captivated by his contemplative lyrics and frosty digital palette.

Mindchatter is the artist project of singer, songwriter, and producer Bryce Connolly. The swiftly acquired popularity for his genre-defying style and unique approach to music grows, with the release of his debut single “Trippy,” 2019. Mindchatter received early acclaim from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong for blending thoughtful and thought-provoking lyrics with addictive, danceable sounds. He’s since followed up with a string of singles including “Math” in a lead up to his highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘DREAM SOUP.’

This newest single for the creative polymath breaks new boundaries. Mindchatter deviates from his usual icy minimalism with this tune, which combines an addictive techno beat with an industrial, apocalyptic sound design. “Math” begins with a throbbing four-on-the-floor beat and Mindchatter’s distinctive, airy vocal delivery, and gradually builds to a peak with a drop that is destined to stir dancefloors.

“’Everything is math when you’re a sociopath’ – We all know someone that these lyrics could apply to – the cold, analytical types that act in self-interest and seem to think strictly in terms of numbers,” says Mindchatter.

This artist employs this auditory and lyrical tension to elicit smouldering rage directed at a cold, calculating system and the heartless, solely analytical people in charge of it. His thoughtful lyrics and frigid digital palette captivate listeners. “Math” follows previous DREAM SOUP singles such as the intimate “Nothing On Me;” the cosmic, spaciously layered cut “It’s Ok (It’s Not Ok);” the minimal yet hypnotizing “Inch Off The Earth;” and the bouncy, carnivalesque “Answer Me.”

Watch out for Mindchatter’s live performance this year, as they set him apart from the crowd, combining a full live set with a one-of-a-kind visual experience.
