Space Miami Opening

I returned to Space by the end of summer after experiencing first hand Space closing for Miami Music Week. When I saw the lineup released, Shermanology, Green Velvet and DJ Seinfeld headlining I knew what night I would be in for. The club is one of kind and it holds a special place in my heart. Everyone there is cool and like no other.

The fact I rocked up with my mum and took her to Space Miami is classic. It felt so good to be in that place again.

Shermanology, bringing the soul to the party as always. The dynamic brother-sister duo Andy and Dorothy Sherman, are known for their energy of house and soul. Their sound is a perfect blend of soulful vocals, driving basslines and funky rhythms, making their live performances an experience. Dorothy’s voice and stage presence is unmatched. The crowd love it! Her voice, rich with soul and power, brings a level of emotion and energy that’s rare in the electronic music scene, which often relies on pre-recorded vocals. Her live performances, where she belts out vocals with an unmatched intensity, draw audiences in and elevate the entire experience. Her voice projected through the whole of the club that night like a sonic wave. I remember being in the crowd and thinking this girl is actually singing through the mic?!

After the release  “Boyz N Da Club” Shermanology have been steadily climbing the ranks in house music. Their live performances are a celebration of their Caribbean-Dutch heritage, often filled with gospel-like vocals and uplifting house beats that are sure to get the crowd moving.  I felt like we were treated to a masterclass in vocal-driven house music, paired with grooves that are impossible to resist. The fact that these guys are brother and sister makes their performances a natural chemistry and more authentic to music and we’re here for it!

Space Miami has long been considered one of the premier venues for music in the states. Known for it’s rooftop terrace and extended after hours parties which make it such an elite club.

Later on in the evening DJ Seinfeld jumped on the decks who we all know for his melodic fast beat productions. Seinfeld has his own unique sound in the music industry and it has always struck me especially his style of music and the stuff he produces it is utterly spectacular, especially his old stuff like “Too Late for U and M1” and “Time Spent Away From You”. I would say his production is literally a genre of his own, which uplifts you and sends you on a right journey.  I have listened to Seinfeld for years so to be able to see him perform live and with my mum was a special moment for undoubtably! I remember just dancing away and losing myself into a trance as the night went on. The timing and rhythm and sound was just so delicious.

The night went on and we fell into early hours that’s when the one and only Green Velvet took over the dancefloor. As the night turned into morning, the crowd’s energy wasn’t phased this place was just getting started. Green Velvet’s performance at Space Miami was a testament to why he remains one of the most respected names in dance music. His ability to command a crowd, coupled with his unique sound that bridges the gap between classic house and modern techno, makes him a true innovator in the genre. Velvet, in a league of his own took control and sent everyone on a certain journey back to “LA LA LAND”

It was an absolute pleasure for us Brokerz to be back a Space Miami for second time this year. We simply can’t get enough of that place!
