shermanology x rudimental’s new singles are head bopping, lip biting, club-ready bangers

Broke Magazine’s favourite Dutch-Caribbean sibling duo (who had us creasing in a recent interview at Drumsheds) and UK collective Rudimental have collabed once again to set the dance scene ablaze with their groovy new set of singles “Calling / Like A Train” released via DFTD.

Following on from the trio’s last collaborative track, (an energy-filled release called “Rain” with Todd Edwards), this latest venture is a thing of beauty, translating their deepening artistic synergy and friendship into a club-ready record bursting with pure love for the dance scene.

Both artists have a knack for balancing underground credibility with mainstream success, maintaining a sense of soul in their music and steering clear of the sell-out sound we see so many big artists buy into. The release opens with “Calling,” where Caribbean rhythms intertwine with warm lyrics made for summer nights on open-air dance floors, “Like A Train” then takes over, driven by a chugging bassline and sassy vocals and will have you head bouncing, lip biting and hopefully going feral in a festival tent this summer…
