Strath’s EP Launch at The Glove That Fits

We got invited to The Glove That Fits, Hackney to listen to Strath’s new EP launch ‘I Thought It  Would Never End’. I had been listening to Strath for a few weeks beforehand, to see what this  artist is all about, and I tell you I wasn’t disappointed. It was a Wednesday night and it felt very cheeky to be going to a mid week event, but once we arrived we headed down these narrow and  bendy stairs, and instantly heard the sounds of pulsating melodies. We immersed ourselves into a  crowd that was all bundled together into this tiny basement, but the energy of excitement  (certainly from some Australians) that created the feeling of being transformed into another  dimension of psychedelic euphony.

We managed to squeeze our way into the front of the crowd (as I wanted to get some cool shots)  and Strath took us all on a journey of depth storytelling and delivering genre-blending and dance-forward tracks. The Australian DJ, Producer and solo artist, who originated from the Melbourne  music scene, relocated to LA. Where he worked with notorious names like Channel Tres and  Pawpaw Rod. Now based in London, Strath has immersed himself in refining his personal  craftsmanship, implementing a mind-bending EP. Which Strath successfully achieved that feeling  at the launch party. I think I can speak for everyone that night, we all felt this sense of a  rollercoaster of sounds, where his storytelling and passions echoed throughout each track.

Some notable tunes that were performed (and my personal favourites) by Strath was, ‘Oh  California’, ‘Don’t hold your breath’ and ‘From now on’. The whole basement was buzzing before  and after every track was played (including me). It felt such a privilege being at this personal and intimate space and the atmosphere was smothered by support and a crowd that truly love  Strath’s world of hypnotic artistry.

After, Strath had finished his set, we didn’t want to leave this little parallel universe that himself  and the crowd had formed that night, but what I can say is his new EP ‘I Thought It Would Never  End’ Has been on my ‘on repeat’ Spotify playlist ever since and every time the tracks come on I  am instantly transformed back to that euphoric feeling.
