Techno-pop Barbie Sam Quealy releases ‘BLONDE VENUS’

‘Sexy but terrifying’, triggers many questions – who is this techno-pop Barbie?!

Prepare to be seduced and unsettled as Sam Quealy, the versatile Australian artist based in Paris, unveils her eagerly anticipated album, ‘BLONDE VENUS.’ The techno-pop princess has made a name for herself with her hair-whipping, sweaty synchronised dances, and spine-tingling shrieks at the top of her lungs on stage. Her feisty stage presence has no surprise earned recognition from the likes of Jean-Paul Gaultier, FKA Twigs, SITA and Nadia Lee Cohen.

‘BLOND VENUS’, produced by the acclaimed Marlon Magnée of ‘La Femme’ fame, embarks on a wildly erotic and genre-bending sonic experience. Sam Quealy boldly breaks the boundaries of the conventional, exploring diverse track tempos and showcasing her talents in singing, songwriting and rapping.

The album pays homage to the legendary sounds of the 80s, melting into oscillating synths, in tracks like, ‘Follow the night’, ‘Valentine’ and ‘Sad Summer Daze’. Each track evokes a new energy, with brighter, disco-infused sounds in ‘Watch Me Now (Queen of the Night)’ and ‘Cluedo’ VS. the darker, sensual techno grooves in ‘Night Shade’ and ‘Groovy Jungle’.

With 15 tracks in total, ‘BLONDE VENUS’ offers us a glimpse into her universe, where sensuality and innovation collide to create something truly extraordinary.
