Field Day returns on the 19th of August for their Sweet 16 instalment, with an even sweeter splendour of electronic music for their largest show to date. Based in Victoria Park, this vast East London space is brought to life with an eclectic assortment of electronica pumping through high-quality sound systems, produced by the Luno Presents All Points East programme.
The Field Day lineup never fails to amaze with an impressively curated roster spanning four beaming stages. This Saturday, electro pioneer Aphex Twin returns for the first time in four years, headlining the East Stage, where previous editions featured legends such as the Chemical Brothers and Skepta. The Eastern end will also be blessed by Grammy nominee Jayda G and a sexy b2b from LSDXOXO and Juliana Huxtable.
On the festival’s flip side, the West Stage promises an atmospheric headline set from Bonobo, alongside esteemed producer Jon Hopkins and rapidly rising star TSHA. Talented is an understatement for self-taught violinist Sudan Archives, who will take to the West Stage in the early evening.
The CUPRA North Arena Tent is filled with alternative, melodic sounds from the likes of SBTRKT, Moderat and Arca, next to a host of up-and-coming artists introduced on the New Music Stage. The BBC 6 Music stage presents a cutting-edge, all-female lineup dubbed All Queens, produced by radio DJ Mary Anne Hobbs and featuring power girls Chloe Robinson and Effy.
In addition to the wonderful array of boundary-bursting electro and experimental music, a variety of tasty food and drink vendors spread across the site to keep festival goers energised for a solid knees-up.
Broke Magazine will be right at home among the 50,000+ heads sprawling Vicky Park to attend the beloved Field Day. We can’t wait to join the dancing crew and witness a selection of the finest producers and performers in the industry.
