Through The Lens: Celebrating 5 years of M.A.D Records At Corsia Studios

Born as a project ‘for the love of the dance’, M.A.D Records aka Make A Dance have now been producing, selecting and playing a tasty earful throughout London and beyond for 5 years. To celebrate this special birthday, M.A.D took over Elephant & Castle’s intimate, between-the-bridges hideout, Corsica Studios. Low lighting, warehouse space, and naughty grooves – the consistent triad of a proper party.

For any M.A.D fans feeling a tinge of FOMO or ravers looking to re-live the event, we snapped some of the best moments of the night and brought them to BROKE so you can look through the lens and land right on the dance floor…

The wobbles of house and acid echo through the darkness, beads of sweat condensate and drip from the walls of Corsica’s 2 rooms; both filled to the brim with locked-in leg shakers.

Jonny Rock conjured a funky sound selection influenced by Turkish psychedelia and hidden house treasures, accompanying a bouncy b2b delivered by Ariene V & Manuel Darquart.

Appearing alongside the M.A.D crew, fellow dynamic duo Jive Talk go b2b with Baby Rollen for a inevitably lively spin, inducing dancers to throw hands high as they let loose and feel the rhythm.

A Very Happy Birthday for Make A Dance!
