Tremayne has made an impressive mark in the Canadian entertainment industry, despite his relatively short professional career. Early on, he opened for Canadian hip-hop legends like Chocolair and Classified, which helped establish him as a powerful performer.
Since then, he has been consistently booked for shows throughout North America and Europe, sharing the stage with renowned artists like Tinashe, Rich Homie Quan, 21 Savage, Sean Leon, and Big Freedia (who was famously sampled by Drake on “Nice for What”). In addition to his electrifying performances, Tremayne is also known for his strong work ethic as a self-managed artist, producing his own events, serving as an A&R and manager for his collective STAYOUTLATE, and DJing in his spare time.
He has earned praise from various sources, including Yes Julez, Purple Melon, Vice, Complex, and DJ Booth, and is poised to make a lasting impact on the entertainment industry while also creating opportunities for future generations.
Tremayne’s latest release, “Catch Flights, Not Feelings,” draws heavily from the early 2000s Atlanta snap music scene, which featured popular artists such as D4L, Soulja Boy, Ying Yang Twins, and Dem Franchise Boyz. With the help of producer JUSTUNLIMITED, Tremayne has modernized the sound while maintaining the fun and catchy spirit of snap music.
The song is all about youthful independence and taking advantage of life’s opportunities to better oneself, as expressed by its title. Canadian hip-hop heavyweight DillanPonders and Montreal’s Prism Prize MVP recipient Maky Lavender are featured on the track, providing two stellar supporting verses. Despite Tremayne’s busy schedule, which includes interviews, performances, and DJ sets throughout August, “Catch Flights, Not Feelings” gives fans a glimpse of what’s to come from the rising star for the rest of the year.
