You know we were excited when we noticed Charlieeeee’s new track drop into our inbox, incoming as the second instalment from Charlieeeee in their world trilogy. With only two singles under their belt so far, we’ve got no doubt you’ll have had a boog to Charlieeee’s bops before without even realising it – collaborating on production with a few little known icons… Raye, MNEK, Fred Again and Piri, just to name a few.
Since Charlieeeee decided to create their very own world, we had to let you know all about it. ‘BUMPED IN THE HEAD’ is the most recent of Charlieeeee’s tracks with even more of their other collaborations dropping throughout 2024. We don’t know about you but since its been a grey all we wanna do is get back to the dance floor, or into a mucky field, and let off some steam with our best pals on the weekend, and there is no doubt Charlieeeee brings the energy! “Bumped in the head” features Ellie Dixon, blending influences of nostalgic pop and indie tunes, banging jungle-breakbeats and Charlieeeee’s unmissable attitude. The single is playful and cheeky, only echoing Charlieee’s pumping performances (make sure to catch ‘em live when you can). But in the mean time of course , the music video, directed by Lilly Shickle & executively produced by the crazily talented Charlieeeee, brings just as much expressive spirit and sparkle – watch it here:
Lyrically, Charlieeeee’s personality totally shines through, ranting like a teen and confessing antics like we all wish we could! You’ve gotta be inspired. Sometime’s life can all be just a bit too serious, so we’ve gotta keep jumping, dancing, smiling, and of course messing up however often we might do that. As much as ‘BUMPED IN THE HEAD‘ is bringing out the naughty kid in us, we’ve gotta give a big big shoutout to the production company founded by Charlieeeee in 2022, Trans Creative Collective, “a safe space for trans+ creators and allies in the arts, music & film”, TCC believes in connecting, upskilling and helping, to provide opportunities in the creative industries for trans+ communities. Check out all the good stuff they’re getting up to HERE.
