Emanuela is a musician and performer who is passionate about creating sound that is both attractive and thoughtfully constructed. Now, she is ready to kick-start another chapter of her career with yet another outstanding release, “Swallow Me”. This single comes highly recommended to fans of artists such as Charli XCX, FKA Twigs, and Ashnikko, among others.
The pink-crazed musician loved to sing as a kid and continued to express herself freely throughout her adolescence. She chose to pursue classical music and jazz at some time, but she was fascinated by composing pop songs with an electronic twist.
Her diversified experience enables her to create music with a distinct sound, not just by writing captivating melodies but also by coming up with innovative arrangement ideas that set her tracks apart. This is most emphatically the case with her 2019 debut song, “Final Fantasy,” which served as an excellent introduction to her music.
One of the most distinguishing characteristics of the “Swallow Me” release is undoubtedly the artist’s intensity and determination. The vocals are energetic and spontaneous, indicating that this artist is truly engaging with the words on a much deeper level. This isn’t simply a puppet vocalist belting out appealing hooks: there’s a deeper notion at work here, which lends weight to the mix.
Emanuela, who has been working with her producer Alon Renser since 2018, understands precisely what she wants to portray via her music, and the two are able to come up with some original concepts and creative frameworks that maximise the emotional potential of their releases. The music video was created by Noam Vardi, who assisted Emanuela in perfectly capturing the mood of this single release with its captivating pink tones.
The pair (Emanuela and Alon) are not only attempting to “fill in the blank spaces,” but are also utilising noises and diverse tonal characteristics to create a more attractive texture for the voices to unfurl. The singing works incredibly well within the context of everything, not only providing some highly memorable hooks but also perfectly reflecting the passion and aim of the words. The artist’s vocal delivery is halfway between the grit you’d expect from some of the greatest modern electropop.
The song is Emanuela’s third single off her next album, which is also produced by Alon. This song is a wonderful example of modern hyper-pop, feeling passionate but also being highly energetic and unapologetic – not just in terms of musical execution but also in terms of the words that propel the song.
