We’ve been licking our lips in the lead up to Shygirl’s newest EP, ‘Club Shy’, and the wait is finally over with her 6-track release landing yesterday.
Focusing solely on dance for her newest drop, the EP, a celebration of all things club, draws influences from the East London nightlife scene and, in true Shygirl style, has something for everyone from the sultry sounds of ‘Thicc’ with a darker edge and layered vocals that create that disorientating, almost-the-end-of-the-night sound, to ‘f@k€’ a merge of pop and 00s house, effortlessly honoring the noughties without falling into TikTok’s tropes.
Our personal favorite? The collaboration track with Boyz Noise ‘Tell me’. blending Shygirl’s vocals seamlessly with a punchy drop, transporting listeners into a 90s Eurodance haven. It’s a sure-fire crowd pleaser – without trying too hard to be.
Club Shy is immaculately produced, wonderfully catchy and, of course, tantalizingly sexy, so of course, we’ll have it on repeat for the next month…
