I’m not sure about you, but I’ve been banging on about the start of summer and moaning about British weather for the past month (I know we’re all collectively gagging for a ray of sunshine), so when a new single called ‘Summertime Blues’ dropped into our inbox last week with its warm synths and hazy vocals I was set on announcing it as our summer soundtrack, but I wanted to keep this find fresh af until it ‘officially’ arrived.
Last night, we hit warm-enough-to-walk-home-after-a-night-out weather (as we discovered after trekking South to scout out a new venue), and that confirmed it for the Broke crew, the first wisps of summer, so I’ll stop gatekeeping this banger with it’s goated build up and BPM good enough to get your heart pumping before easing you into a puddle of pure bliss with some steamy wobs (big up Sammy Viji and Chris Lake for the beats)…
